June 7th
by Kirsten Rae Boitz
(Anchorage, Alaska)
This is the mile marker of your life.
The age of no return.
You are growning older, and yet I love you.
I love you like the day we met.
When I saw you I wanted you.
I wanted to hold you and tell you that I loved you.
I wanted you to know that I would:
Always hold you tight, comfort you at night,
Feel your pain, and that I want to give you your way.
I want to please you and adorn lavish gifts on you.
How do I show you my unconditional love for you.
Especially at your new and ripe age of 21?
What are your hopes and dreams?
A penny for you thoughts? Ill give you a ring.
A shiny ring that says I love you.
I will take you to dinner and give you everything.
I want to show you the world and give you the moon.
I want to make love to you until the world ends.
You are my light and my star.
No matter where you are, you light up my world
Like a million fireflies fluttering over my head.
You are my perfect, sweet, flawless angel.
On your special milemarker day I want to show you my love.
Will you accept this as my one and only precious gift?

I'm Yours
I am yours, lost in you,
lost, although I long to be
Lost as a candle lit at noon,
Lost as a snowflake in the sea.
You love me, and I found you
A spirit beautiful and bright,
Yet I am I, who long to be
Lost as a light is lost in light.
Oh plunge me deep in your loveāput out
My thoughts,leave me blind,
Swept by your love,
Like a leaf rushing wind.

A Special Day
by Janice
(Lindsay, Ontario, Canada)
A special day,
A chance to say,
How much you mean to me.
Wishes abound,
From friends around,
And all your family.
My hope for you?
Each wish comes true
And you have your hearts desire.
When they light the cake,
Hope it won't take
Too much to douse the fire!
(Oops! I was supposed to be going for romantic wasn't I?)
Yes, but that last line's a classic! I'm sure it will be popular

A Birthday Poem
by barbara
(FL)
The day you were born
the world became more special;
your bright eyed, smiling face,
made the sun dim its gleaming...
No candle can hold a candle;
no cake could be as sweet,
as birthdays come and go,
lovers come to meet, so glad
that I entered at the right time and place
that brought us here together
so we can celebrate...
the day you were born!

Mum your the best, happy birthday<3
by Zoe Kelly
(Oxford)
Mum, your the best.
you bought me a dress,
so shiny and bright to wear in the night.
You gave birth to me,
I know it hurt.
Its just part of life to give birth!
Happy Birthday Mum! <3

Your Lovely Face
by Janice
(Lindsay, Ontario, Canada)
I know that getting older,
Is something no one cheers,
As a face begins to show
The gentle passage of the years,
Yet, all I see is beauty
When I look at you.
Your lovely face, it shows me
All that we have both been through.
Each laugh line holds true testament,
To how much fun you are,
And the love and laughs you've shared
With friends and family so far.
Each frown line only shows to me,
How very much you care,
And the times you've shouldered burdens
Far too much for one to bear.
And so now on your birthday,
Do not fear friend Father Time,
For each year that shows, it shows to me,
How blessed I am you're mine.
