Much Ado

Time it does fly
No matter what we do
We watch for it's coming
And it's going too

We add and subtract it
Give or take a few
Unless it's a birthday
When plus's much ado

Didn't care when I was one
Cared less at twenty-two
But after fifty came and left
I began to get a clue

Birthdays come with balloons
Bright-lit candles true
I can't blow either up or out
Without turning a shade of blue
