Much Ado

Time it does fly

No matter what we do
We watch for it's coming
and it's going too

We add and subtract it
Give or take a few
Unless it's a birthday
When Plus's much ado

didn't care when I was one
cared less at twenty-two
but after fifty came and left
I began to get a clue

Birthdays come with balloons
and bright-lit candles true
I can't blow either up or out
without turning a shade of blue
