Many people ask me 'so how do you make money from home online from your site?'. It's a very good question and I'll try and answer it here...

This is My Story

I was having coffee with a friend of mine, I knew she had a few websites but never took much notice as it all sounded far to technical for me! However that day she told me she made over £1000 per month from just one of her sites. I nearly parted with my coffee all over her beautifully decorated living room (her first site is about interior design!) I thought her sites were a bit of a hobby, I had no idea that they were a serious business concern to make money from home online.

Wow, that had got my attention and I went home exited to find out more.

I spent several weeks researching everything I could about Solo Build It. Was it a scam, would I get ripped off? But I always came back to the same thing. My friend, was one of the most honest people I know. If it's working for her then it could work for me too.

So I signed up, happy in the knowledge that I could get a full refund if it wasn't for me and I didn't make money from home online. I really had nothing to lose and everything to gain.

I started Great Happy Birthday Ideas in December 2009, with absolutely no knowledge of web design, html or anything else.

I went on the biggest, steepest learning curve I've ever been on.

• I learned how to write great content and monetise my site.
• I made friends in the forums who patiently answer my inane questions, and still do!
• I have written to date enough content to fill an average sized novel!
• I learned how to promote my site through youtube, My Youtube channel now makes more money that this site does!!
  

This is not a get rich quick scheme. I see it as my pension, an investment in my future and that of my family. I can't describe the feeling when on July 9th 2010 I made my first 19 pence from Google Ad Sense, probably the most important 19p in my journy to make money from home online.

I now make a steady part time income, but the best bit is that it keeps on rising. I actually quite enjoy my day job, I'm a Food Technologist. But I am confident that one day  I will be earning more from this site than I do at my day job, and with that comes the choices to do what I like with my life. Such as find other creative ways to make money from home online!

My one regret is that I didn't find SBI a long time ago. I have worked throughout my kids childhoods. By the time I am financially free they will have almost left home!

I make money through Google's Adsense program, and promoting products I think my readers will like through Amazons affiliate programs. I receive a % of all Amazon sales and 50% of the Google adverts ' pay per click', from the advertisers fees. I also earn an affiliate income from happybirthdaytoyou.com, they supply the banners for singing birthday cards that you'll see all over my site.

How does Google make money? That's easy, they charge businesses to appear on page 1 at the top of google searches.

There are at least 101 ways to make money from Solo Build It, but they are the one's I have so far concentrated on.

Using Solo Build It's tutorials and guidance I know how to write really great pages that the search engines love and send 1000's of lovely visitors to my site. Even this page is keyword optimised!

Don't get me wrong I'm not here to rip anyone off or make them buy things the don't want. Take a look around my site, it's full of free ideas, resources and links. It's a good quality information site and I am extremely proud of it.
