Of all the tortures modern life inflicts on the human race- ridiculous rents, daily traffic snarls, Tony Abbott- gift card ideas seems a minor issue over which to lose sleep.
But if you’re lucky enough to have more than one friend or family member, the chore of procuring the ‘perfect’ birthday or christmas gift crops up with alarming regularity. My in-laws are an eccentric bunch, and there’s an awful lot of them.
They generally walk a mildly batty and less travelled
path through life, and knowing what to buy them and their large brood
of offspring is about as simple as solving the crisis in the Middle
East.
That’s
why I’ve directed my partner to the Gift Card Planet website. This allows his brother, sisters, cousins, nieces and
nephews to purchase whatever they please from literally thousands of
different retailers, nationwide.
If their wish is to buy the
necessary materials to build a spacecraft in which to travel to Mars,
they may do so. If they would like to buy a bone from which to
fashion a smoking pipe, they may also do so *possibly. Don’t quote
me on that one*
Gift
cards are traditionally held to be a less personal style of gift, but
that view is changing as people look to reduce wasteful spending in
their life and give gifts that will be of genuine value to the
recipient.
These days, it’s also possible to design your own gift
card, adding a very personal touch and rendering it so much more than
just a piece of plastic.
Personally,
I can’t think of anything I’d like better. In fact, I’m tempted
to copy and paste this blog into a facebook status update, just to
inform as many people as possible, none of whom could care less, what
my gift preference is. I’d strongly suggest you do the same.
