Frog birthday cake decorating ideas
This was the 4th cake I ever made, and it was for one of my best friends. She is an avid lover of frogs and the color green, so I made this frog birthday cake as a surprise for her 20th birthday at the request of her boyfriend.
It was a vanilla pound cake with butter cream icing and covered with butter cream fondant.
Hi Hope,
thanks for your frog cake, he's just a beauty isn't he? I'd love to know how you got the frog shape for the cake and the recipe.. Frog cakes seem to pretty popular right now, there's heaps of frog birthday supplies at ThePartyWorks. I just love their funky, bright and colorful frog designs.
You can find Hopes Custom Cakes on Facebook by by clicking here. Hope's trying to get 500 likes for her facebook page, would be great if you could help her out. She has some lovely cake designs.

If you're planning a frog birthday party invitations can read 'hop over to our pad' for a 'ribbeting great time'.
Games can include pin the tongue on the frog, musical lily pads and hook the frog. My daughter invented a great game called 'froggy in the boggy', which is really just a game of tig. The bog is the safe place, and if you get 'tigged' you have to mimic a frog for 10 seconds before being 'it'.
Frog Cupcakes is a great activity for a frog party. Simply bake (or buy!) some cupcakes before hand and decorate frog style with green icing, white bulbous eyes and a happy frog smile.
Serve flies (raisins), frog juice (kiwi juice), with lily pad shaped sandwiches.
Enjoy
