Dont know what to do for mine and my boyfriends birthday?

Me and my boyfriends birthday is coming up and they are a day apart. We just broke up and got back together. I would like to do something that is going to surprise him completely. im turning 21 and he will be turning 22. Can you help me plan a amazing birthday?

• I think the most important thing is that you make the time to spend with one another. So make sure (if you're working) that you book time off so you have 2 days clear. There's no romance in racing home at the end of the day to fit in a birthday celebration


• You really don't need to spend a lot of money, in fact it's probably best if you don't!


• They say they way to a man's heart is through his stomach don't they. Bake him a cake, even if you're not a great cook it doesn't matter. The effort you've put in will be worth 100 times more to him than any shop bought cake. (and don't forget the candles!)
  Try to plan something you can do together quietly. Shopping of the bustle of a city should really be avoided. You want to concentrate on each other so try to
  spend it somewhere quiet. A picnic at the park or on the beach (weather permitting!) Or a quiet café, is there somewhere special you've been in the past that you could maybe visit again?
  You don't need to tell im where you're going, you can still keep it a surprise!
  
• A river cruise, either for lunch or a sunset dinner is very romantic


• I don't know what your budget is, but you could plan a night away between the yours and your boyfriends birthday. Book a hotel room for the night


• Let me tell you about the most romantic birthday I ever had, in fact it wasn't my birthday it was my husbands! It was before we were married and hadn't known each other long. We both kept the day free and had a long lie in. We walked down to the harbour late morning and had 'brunch' at a little cafe we found. We were lucky with the weather, it was perfect. Then we went for a long walk on the beach, laid in the sand dunes and watched the boats in the distance and talked for ages.
  After walking home I gave his his cake that I'd baked, and his gift which was a Timex Watch that I'd had inscribed with a romantic message
