It's my friends birthday on Friday and I can't think what to do. I've already got her a necklace but I need a great birthday idea to surprise her, in a nice way not a nasty way. She'll be 13.


Hi Jo,
Why don't you decorate her locker, that would be a great surprise, certainly in a nice way! Enlist the help of some friends, you'll need to keep her out of the way while you decorate it and make sure she doesn't turn up in the middle of the deed.

Stick a happy birthday banner over the door. Wrap the door with birthday paper, stick sweets on the door. You can tie a balloon to the door.

Buy, beg or borrow some flowers (it's spring so there should be loads growing free) and leave a bunch in her locker along with any gifts, and of course a birthday card. Make or buy a large birthday card and get all her friends to sign it.

What a pleasant surprise you have planed for her friend at school which is very beautiful necklace. I hope your friend must like that necklace and love you and your gift as well.
