Hi, I would like to ask if u have any birthday ideas for a 90 year old birthday party. We r doing a western theme but have no idea on where to begin. Thanks

Well you've made a great start by choosing a western theme for your 90th birthday ideas. The key elements to organising a great birthday party are

• Setting a date, time & venue


• Invitations (could be a 'wanted poster'


• Food & Drink


• Tableware & Decorations


• Music/Entertainment

For an older person it's usually best to keep the party low key and not too long, they may tire easily.

Invite people they would enjoy the company of.

The invites, decorations food & drink can all be based around a western theme.

See if you can find or make a cactus cut out (we borrowed a blow up cactus for our mexican theme party!)
You could make the party fancy dress, but nothing over the top, cowboy hats, bandana's, sherrif badges, checked shirts, boots & spurs will all add to the theme.

Salsa and bean dips, rib steaks or BBQ chicken breast and a selection of salads make ideal food for a western theme party.

Western music could play in the back ground, or find some old western movies and have them showing on the TV.
