13th Birthday Party Ideas
When we were researching 13th birthday party ideas for Abbie's 13th birthday, we were on a fairly low budget so a big party was out of the question. She decided to go for something quite simple but fun, and have a sleep over with 2 of her best friends. We decided not to bother with 13th birthday party invitations, being only 2 invited!
As teen party activities, no matter how many invitees, can be quite rowdy. We chose a Saturday night for the sleepover. We looked at various 13th birthday party themes on the web and decided on a quite unoriginal 'Movie night in'.
I made the cake myself. A chocolate sponge covered in white fondant icing and purple hearts topped off with glitter dusting and silver candles. Abbie said it was the best cake she'd ever had! You can see how I made this in teen birthday cake ideas. We had Chinese takeaway for supper, her favourite. Crispy beef, sweet and sour chicken and kung po king prawn.

A couple of weeks after we set out to see the Xfactor live show. It was a brilliant show, most unforgettable. Which re-enforces my view that gifts are as much about the experiences, like teen party activities, than the material possessions.
